Guidelines for Selection of St. John the Evangelist ACTS Retreatants
All are welcomed at St. John the Evangelist ACTS retreats and both parishioners and non-parishioners are encouraged to apply.
Logistically, St. John the Evangelist ACTS Retreats can accommodate between 36-40 participants depending on housing availability. When the application period results in more applicants than space available for participants, the CORE team uses a lottery system to select attendees.

Logistically, St. John the Evangelist ACTS Retreats can accommodate between 36-40 participants depending on housing availability. When the application period results in more applicants than space available for participants, the CORE team uses a lottery system to select attendees.
Guidelines Used to Determine Retreat Attendees:
- St. John the Evangelist parishioners receive priority status.
- Parishioners who are third time applicants will automatically be accepted.
- All remaining parishioners are placed into a prayerful lottery and spaces are filled in the order that the names are pulled.
- All non-parishioners are then placed into a prayerful lottery and any remaining spaces are filled.
- Those who are not on the original list of retreat participants are placed on a waiting list as there are usually last minute cancellations.
Following the Selection Process:
- All applicants will be notified of their status once retreat attendees are determined.
- All deposits and fees submitted during the application process will be returned to registrants who are unable to be accommodated on the actual retreat.
